Coucou Marie,
Everything is alright with Jongleur, In 3 weeks, he developped muscles on the shoulders and there's no need to use a pad under the saddle anymore. It's incredible as this 12 years old horse always worked with a good rider (better than me) and a good instructor and only the saddle could have stopped the horse's back to build muscles up. Talking about instructors: you must dare saying no when he wants to ride the horse with his own saddle even if he tells you he has or had good results and is or has been one of the best riders in France. You must ask him what would have been the results if he had chosen a saddle fitting the horse's back adequately?
I rode in C2 and had good results. Finaly, I might try to qualify for the championnats de France in 3rd category. I do the D2 and D1 in two weeks but I need ten of them before mid-october to be able to go to Saumur. I will report on that ....

Just a little word to give some news about Luron and his saddle after a trek of 120 km! For him, no problem, the osteopath (Marie-Odile SAUTEL) came the day after and found that he was in good shape. Only some stiff muscles but nothing to do with the saddle! And for me, I have no back pain nor am I aching. The only thing that bothered me where the tree branches that could damage the saddle!!
Many people around me ask me for some advice on their saddle that often does not fit the horse and I always promptly talk about you! I am not the pro! even though I can now tell if it fits or not.
See you soon.

Hi Ladies,
Years ago I bought one of your wonderful saddles, a Fontainebleau, in Aidlingen in Stuttgart. Now I live in Bavaria and I hope that you can still come and see me because my horse has put on muscle and I feel the saddle needs checking. Who else can I turn to? You understand, after my lucky days with this saddle, I can't trust anybody else but you - that's my problem!
Bye and Salut from the dressage riding Soprano: Anja and my lucky horse Maja.

Hello Marie,
I write to you with some news regarding Luron and his new saddle following your visit on 17 May at Quincampoix near Paris.
I find that he is moving much better, no more problems with the girthing and I am as comfortable as in an armchair! My position has improved and I am therefore more precise in my riding. I will keep you informed about our progress.
Yours sincerly,

Some news
Hello, Just a quick word to tell you that I am still as happy with my saddle as I was from the very first minute I sat in it on 17 may 2008. I cannot believe the position it gives me in the canter! It is such a pleasure to work my dressage and I can't wait to hear what my favourite "ecuyer" will have to say at our next training session. I think he will immediately notice the difference.
And my horse no longer manifests any irritation when I girth up. :-)
Nor do we have any disputes in the manège as we used to - he had definite mood swings (or was it pain?) and now - nothing, and I do not think that is just a coincidence.
Riding is now pure pleasure - thank you!
Sophie Ballet - 26/06/2008
Thank you ALLURES!
If I ever need another saddle, I will definitely come back to you! It is very pleasant to do business with you, it is always clear and no argument. Thanks again,

My experience with ALLURES
After having had the pleasure of meeting Marie and Trudi at a Shiatsu course run by Christelle Pernot, I asked them to come to do a consultation on my ten horses that work through the summer doing long treks in the Pyrénées mountains. Their concept: fitting horses with saddles that actually fit the anatomy of the horse - a method that is common in the UK but still new to most of France. The verdict as regards my horses: many are stiff in their backs, some are completely blocked, and none of my saddles really fit my horses who are wider than most and often shorter in the ribcage than the average.
During the consultation Marie's and Trudi's arguments are revealed. In the ridden tests, the difference in the horses' attitue is immediate and remarkable - the horses could relax their backs and their entire bodies. Marie said: it's as if you'd been walking in too small shoes until now, and at last you get a pair your size - you'd feel the difference immediately as well! And that is exactly what happened! All of us riding the horses could really feel the difference. After an experience like that, it is impossible to close your eyes on the issue of your horses: should you offer them this comfort, or not?
Marie and Trudi, your approach is not commercial - it is worse!! :-)) After having had my eyes opened, there was no turning back. Ten saddles and a working season later, horses and riders alike are in great shape and ready for the next season! And by the way, the "safety of the rider during equestrian tourism" so dear to our administrators and instructors in Equestrian Tourism, takes on a whole new meaning - do they really know what it implies? How many riding accidents are caused by horses being in pain from ill-fitting saddles? We'll have none of that in Rebouc this summer! Many thanks!!

Well done and thank you ALLURES!
I would like to add my new and very favourable recent experiences: Since I changed the saddles for several of the horses that I work (all saddles receiving a 10/10 notation by Trudi for each horse), there has been a marked improvement. I can really feel that they are more at easy in their bodies, their backs and their muscles while in work. It is great! The horses are more willing, more generous. The flying changes for instance are much better. I feel that the horses' physical and psychological attitude has evolved significantly for the better in the space of a few weeks.
Well done ALLURES and congratulations for your know-how! Thank you ALLURES from Ribaldi, Ocelot, Urban, Han Khan, Pavao, Rapa Nui, Omar, Rico, Donnerglanz!!!

When I met ALLURES in Saumur a few years ago, I was immediately drawn to their method and to the quality of their products. Since then, several of my clients have bought ALLURES saddles and I have benefited from their purchases as I ride each horse in its own saddle. These horses have all developed very favourably under their new saddles. I have a recent experience that I want to share with you: I started to use the ALLURES saddle on a horse I ride regularly, Ribaldi, just when I wanted to begin the flying changes in every stride with him. ( I thought it was going to be difficult with this horse as he had been tricky with his changes in the first place.) Within one week I had obtained 8 to 10 changes! The saddle must have helped horse and rider! To be sure, the saddle on its own will not produce miracles on the work of a horse but I believe it is very important to pay attention to the comfort and well-being of the horse as much as to that of the rider in order to achieve a positive evolution in the work. Everybody has their rôle to play in the success of a horse: the rider, the trainer, the equipment of which the saddle is crucially important, the groom, the feed, the farrier and good general care...

Thanks for everything in La Baule
Hi there! Thanks for everything you did for my horses in La Baule! Very nice indeed to see how much they had improved! And big respect for your work all around, including your super presentations in front of thousands of people. Both Markus Ehning and Ludger Beerbaum have ridden in your saddles and found them very interesting. I am still trying to organise an in-depth session with either of them, so that we can work away from the pressure of the competition. Until then, all the best and talk to you soon!

I love your bits!
Hello! I thank you again for having helped me find the right bit for my horse in Maubeuge. We were several riders who were thrilled with the advice you provided and without your assistance we would not have made the same choices. You are welcome to use my name to promote your bits!
Tim Stockdale - 01/06/2007
Thank you ALLURES
I have just bought an ALLURES saddle for my Anglo-Arab mare and for the first time in my life I feel great in my saddle! I am well planted in the three paces and my aids fall naturally in place. I would never have thought that the saddle could make such a difference!

Champion of Franche Comte!
Hello Marie! I have now read your advice section on your site for the first time, and it corresponds exactly to what my horse Diatonic was like before I met you. He would move away from the mounting block, would not want me on his back, and he used to look at me with imploring eyes (in spite of the natural horsemanship training we have done). And you have seen how he has changed! His back muscles have improved beyond belief! I think about how we used to graze the bottom of the results lists until a year ago, and now we are champions of Franche Comté! I am totally thrilled, thanks to you.

Helena Lundbäck in Lyon:
Hello ALLURES! I want to thank you for the consultation we did in Lyon! Two of my horses had improved their muscles since our last meeting and it was excellent that you could change their saddles to the larger size, on the spot. Hope to see you next at Markus Ehning's for an in-depth session!

For Trudi et Marie
Since we met in Pompadour in July 2005 Laurenzo and I have a new lease on life. We are making regular progress with new and fabulous sensations each day! Laurenzo was not great in Saumur in the B1 but that had nothing to do with the saddle. He got a stiff neck from the draft in his box.
Many thanks to Trudi for her charming company during the three days!
See you soon, best regards,

EOZ one year later
I met Marie and Trudi for the first time in August 2005 and today the progress that my big Selle Français can boast is astounding. ALLURES came back again a few days ago to do the follow-up. Still no need to change saddles, he is still great in this one, but a new numnah perfected the picture. I will keep you posted on developments! Thank you very much, and may the competition season begin!
Marie Victoire - 12/08/2006
Bravo ALLURES
I run clinics at Beaureceuil in the Dordogne (at Sylvie Bordas and Philippe Arnadaud's) since many years and that is where I met Trudi and Marie. At that point in time they had not yet created ALLURES, but I witnessed the work they did on their horses and the help they gave to other riders at the clinics. That inspired me to seek to improve my horse's comfort as well and Trudi and Marie say that my order of a saddle for Baryton was what gave them the confidence to start ALLURES. I am thus doubly satisfied. Baryton and I have very much enjoyed our saddle. And I recommend ALLURES to any of my students who are looking for new saddles or other tack. Already the consultation with the possibility to test new saddles is an experience that will give the rider new sensations. Once ALLURES has found the right saddle for the horse, the rider finds the right position naturally. And the follow-up is unique - your call and they come! For me and my students, I am thrilled if I were at the origin of this saddlery which is what every rider - and horse - needs!

Why I am so satisfied with your method to fit the saddle in accordance with the measurements of the horse's back?
1) The drawing of the shapes of the horse's back allows a precise appreciation of the muscular development, and of any shortcomings or asymetries. Consequently one can understand how the horse's back works in particular, and how his locomotion works in general. The follow-up and re-measuring at regular intervals permits an exact analysis of the horse's evolution.
2) Regarding the horse Koltis, the new saddle helped the nodules that he had in the back of the saddle area to disappear. They are now completely gone.
3) Regarding my latest horse, Katiki, the saddle-fitting session clearly revealed that although we were trying saddles that were all of a size appropriate for the horse, there was just one of these saddles that brought about the instantaneous improvement in the horse's locomotion.
With my very best regards,

New horse + new saddle = winning couple in Beijing >>> your bet!
I was primarily interested in ALLURES because I wanted the best comfort for my horse, then six years old. Also, I was looking to improve things for myself as I am paraplegic and have my eyes set on the 2008 Olympics. I wish to be on top form, with my trainer Nicole Favereau, on the big day. Thanks to ALLURES' advice and openness to our requests, I now have a saddle that fits my horse. In less than one year, the evolution is very postitive for my horse and quite unbelievable for myself. My position, work and relationship with my horse have all improved, and I can now do many more things in dressage than I could before. My latest results: French Champion Handisport 1b with excellent marks (thanks again for your advice in Toulouse). Thank you for your availability and your amiability and above all, keep that smile of yours!

Happy horse, happy rider
I recently bought an ALLURES saddle and a few days later I took my horse to a competition. He obviously liked his new saddle, and showed it by gaining two first prizes. So, to use a French expression, can one say "new broom sweeps better" or new saddle - good saddle? No! One should say ALLURES SADDLE - BETTER SADDLE!
Mary Ivanovsk - 25/06/2006
Silver in the Swedish Championships
I just wanted to give you my latest results: I came second in the Swedish Championships. I hope to do well also at Hickstead next week-end. In any case, we have changed our habits. We have marked the saddles with the horse's name, we lift the numnah up into the gullet, we girth up at a hand's width from the elbow, and yes, I can feel the difference!
See you soon,
Helena Lundbäck - 24/06/2006
Thanks & nice to meet you
Dear Marie & Trudi,
It was a pleasure meeting you and I cannot wait until I will try my new saddle on Friday (((-:
I recognized the difference riding myself and especially when Anna tested the saddle with Snoopy and I am pretty sure we will have much more fun riding and Snoopy will appreciate the perfect saddle fit... I hope not to see you soon because I will not NEED you for saddle problems but hope to see you soon just for fun (((-:
Many greets and a hug from Germany

Hello from a young horse of 4 who is very happy with his new tack!!!
My name is Chippendale, I'm a young German horse, 4 years old. I am now with my new rider Alizée, in Saumur, who introduced me to Marie and Trudi. After having tried a few saddles I found one that was more comfortable than all the others. I trotted much better and everything was much easier. It appears that this is normal: when the saddle fits it all falls into place (and me who thought that was only for the catwalk!!!). I will see how I get along and I will keep you posted by putting my little hoofs to the keyboard.
See you soon for news of my adventures...
A happy horse! - 01/06/2006
At last I have a saddle my size - Gospel du Verdon - SF 12 years
When Marie and Trudi came to my stables I told them about the difficulties I was having with my dressage horse and our work. After having used the new saddle for a few weeks, I can already see and feel the difference! Gospel has found more bounce in his paces and he seems to enjoy his work. I will keep you posted on his evolution. Thank you both of you and see you soon!

News from Helena Lundbäck
Since the first ALLURES consultation (in February 2006) where we chose saddles for four of my horses in accordance with the shape and anatomy of each of them, I have felt steady progress. That is why I showed you my other two horses when we met in Maubeuge, feeling that I could no longer treat them less well than the other four. Taking good care of your horses is an investment. But with ALLURES your horses are allowed to evolve, thanks to your follow-up service and your take-back guarantee. In the long run, it is a small price to pay for being able to work under optimal conditions at all times. Now, I can no longer conceive of it being any other way! Looking forward to seeing you soon, Trudi and Marie, and to receiving the new saddles!
Helena Lundbäck - 11/05/2006
My horse is trasformed!
I have competed in dressage for years, and I never managed to brake the 60% barrier. Since my consultation with ALLURES and the new saddle, my results are now consistently above 68% and I go from victory to victory. Thank you, Trudi and Marie!
Madame Sesbouë, Bourgogne - 10/05/2006
At last a saddlery that proposes a true follow-up service!
I met Marie and Trudi in June 2005 at a dressage competition where they presented their method for fitting saddles to the shape of the horse. I had just bought a New Forest poney, 1m45 over the withers, for whom I wanted to buy a dressage saddle. Marie and Trudi came to my house and we chose a saddle that was perfect for Ibycos. After a few months work, I could feel the pony beginning to resist again. Marie and Trudi came back, re-measured the poney, and we could all see that he needed a bigger saddle. ALLURES took back the old saddle and we chose a new one, fitting his improved shape.

Message from Helena Lundbäck, Show jumping rider, World Cup
After the Jumping in Bordeaux, where I first met ALLURES, we arranged a meeting in Milan so I could show them four of my horses. It was clear that they were all quite different. Nevertheless, two of them could share the same saddle. So, now I have three ALLURES saddles, one Carcassonne and two Patriot. I could feel the difference in my horses, their backs much rounder, and I hope that we will see a difference in our access to the podiums!
Thank you very much!

For ALLURES, Sellerie et Conseil
I wanted to thank you. Because of you and your saddles, I can see in the eyes of my horse that he is now happy to be ridden. Thank you!
