Allures Yachting unveils a new edition of its flagship model, the Allures 51.9. Updates include a redesigned hardtop, additional rigging options, and a new interior ambiance.
Launched in 2022 and following in the footsteps of the Allures 51 and 52, the Allures 51.9 continues the Allures concept of blue water cruising yachts with an aluminium hull, integral centerboard, and composite deck. Designed by Olivier Racoupeau, the Allures 51.9 has already become a benchmark in the 50 to 55-foot category.
Upon its debut, the nearly 6-meter-long cockpit of the Allures 51.9 made a strong impression. Whether for relaxing, entertaining, maneuvering, helming, or preparing for watersports, everything can be done in complete comfort, without interference. Not to mention the generous storage space at the stern — ideal for long-distance cruising.
Inside, the sailboat features a large, open central space, combining a U-shaped galley optimized for use at sea, a dual-seat chart table, and a spacious saloon. Aft, the full-beam owner’s cabin quickly won over clients with its generous volume, ideal for extended life aboard in comfort. Forward, there’s a twin cabin with bunk beds, a double cabin, and a second bathroom.
Designed to explore the world
In June 2024, the first delivered unit returned to Brest after a three-year circumnavigation via the Tropics. The owners praised the qualities of their yacht for such a voyage and stated they would have chosen no other. Another unit, after two seasons in the North Sea, sailed to the United States last summer via the Viking Route — Faroe Islands, Iceland, and Greenland. Other yachts are currently cruising in Europe and the Mediterranean.
A new hard dodger and hardtop design
From April 2025, Allures will offer this new edition with an optional redesigned hard dodger and hardtop. The new structure is more rounded, while remaining highly protective and maintaining full standing headroom at the companionway. It’s the ideal equipment for watchkeeping, well-sheltered from wind and spray. At anchor, it provides protection from prevailing winds and sun while preserving panoramic views.
The new hardtop also includes an opening fabric sunroof.
New rigging with furling boom, in aluminum or carbon
On deck, in addition to the classic aluminum mast with in-mast furling mainsail, the new edition offers an optional rigging configuration with a Furling Boom. The full-batten mainsail has a positive roach and gains 9 m² in surface area. A carbon mast is also available as an option, with a furling boom. This setup increases sail area slightly and, above all, reduces weight aloft — a key benefit for limiting pitching, particularly appreciated by round-the-world sailors from a racing background, seeking greater performance.
A new, more classic interior ambiance
Inside, with design by Isabelle Racoupeau, the Allures 51.9 new edition offers a new, darker wood finish in addition to the existing light ambiance — an option that will appeal to those who prefer a more traditional style.
