Video shoots, launching, sailing, life at the shipyard is very busy! The employees of the Allures Yachting shipyard in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin willingly play the game to promote their job and showcase the company. And we are very proud to put them in the spotlight.

Filming of a report by LCP

The French TV channel “La Chaîne Parlementaire” came to shoot a report at the shipyard to illustrate the recruitment needs in the nautical industry. An opportunity to present the know-how of our workers. In particular an electrician, recently hired, who had been recommended by one of the employees. Thanks to them.

Video shootings to showcase our trades

To support the development of the shipyard, Allures Yachting is recruiting for all the trades: carpenters, deckhands, electricians, etc. To present these trades, the floor was given to the shipyard’s employees through short videos. They tell us about their career path, their know-how and their daily life within the company. Discover their infectious enthusiasm on our YouTube channel !

Corporate sailing

As soon as they are launched, the shipyard’s boats are tested in real sailing conditions. This allows us to verify their proper functioning and to perfect the final details before the boat is delivered to its owner. These sailings in the harbor of Cherbourg are the occasion to invite members of the shipyard to live the experience of an outing on board a boat of the shipyard.

Women in the spotlight

Shipbuilding is a traditionally male-dominated industry. In our shipyards, we are fortunate to have 20% women in our workforce, including in production. International Women’s Rights Day was an opportunity to bring them together in a group photo.

More and more women are joining the nautical industry, which is excellent news, isn’t it?
