YEARS OF EXPERTISE FOR YOUR MARITIME ADVENTURES

Allures Yachting has built an international reputation for the design and construction of blue water cruising yachts. Our yachts are designed by a team of experts, with tried-and-tested innovations that are constantly being improved thanks to feedback from owners, built using traditional methods by highly qualified staff, within a precisely orchestrated organization.

The design

blue water cruising sailboats

A team of experts behind every new model

From our discussions with our owners, our analysis of the market and its trends, we draw up precise specifications for each new model. This collaborative process continues with a naval architect, who contributes his vision and expertise to design the hull, calculate the structure, draw up the sail plan and general layout. A designer then refines the layout plans and imagines the interior ambiances. Finally, our design office, bringing together architects, engineers and technicians, integrates the various systems and finalizes the deck plan, guaranteeing a harmonious and accomplished design.

Innovation and reliability
for blue water cruising

Materials, manufacturing techniques, equipment: we remain at the forefront of developments, incorporating only those we have rigorously tested and validated. Our priority is to offer our owners the most effective and proven solutions. A blue water cruising sailboat, especially one designed for high latitudes, must be uncompromising, so that you can sail with complete peace of mind, whatever the conditions.

Continuous evolution

Guided by the Experience of Our Owners

In every corner of the globe

Our owners sail to the four corners of the globe, exploring the most varied and demanding destinations, from tropical anchorages to ocean crossings and high latitudes. Their sailing experience is invaluable, and we're always ready to listen. Their feedback, suggestions and observations - whether on ergonomics, accessibility or the integration of new equipment - feed directly into our thinking and our continuous improvement process. As a result, we are constantly upgrading our boats, optimizing them over the course of different vintages.
Know-how forged by experience

Masterful construction
and first-rate quality

craftsmanship

To create your Allures, more than a dozen trades are involved: boilermakers, painters, carpenters, upholsterers, fitters... These are manual trades, requiring great care and precision. Our boats are thus produced in small series, by passionate craftsmen, according to the equipment wishes of their future owners. Allures yachting masters each and every one of its trades, offering top-quality, ultra-reliable yachts.

In an optimized
organization

This mastery of craftsmanship is nevertheless part of our organization. The intervention of each trade is carried out step by step, our material and equipment flows are optimized, and our facilities are designed to facilitate our operations and guarantee the safety and quality of working life of our employees. Our production is controlled by a management software package, which gives us full control over our schedules. What's more, as part of the Grand Large Yachting group, Allures Yachting benefits from a pooling of knowledge and best practices.

A robust
quality approach

Reliability is essential for exploration yachts, destined to face harsh conditions and venture into remote places. In addition to the expertise and know-how of our staff, a Quality team carries out checks at every stage of construction, from the cutting of the first aluminum sheet to final sea trials, guaranteeing the high level of performance and reliability of our boats.

A
environmental approach

We are also committed to optimizing the environmental performance of our boats, at every stage of their life: design, production, use and end-of-life. To manufacture our hulls, we already use 80% recycled aluminum. We have also set up a waste sorting system, an annual site clean-up campaign and actions to reduce our production of non-recyclable waste. We also involve our suppliers. Finally, as the use of the boat accounts for most of the overall footprint of owning a sailboat, we are also working to raise our customers' awareness of good practices on board.

in 8 steps

  • 01

    Boilermaking, hull creation

The story of your sailboat begins at one of our 3 boiler-making sites. On a tool called a table, we create the structure of your sailboat: vertical frames and horizontal rails gradually create a kind of skeleton, onto which the aluminum sheets, previously bent, are welded and shaped to give life to the hull.

Our hulls are shaped, without chine, for better seaworthiness, enhanced performance and greater elegance. It all starts with the exceptional work of our boilermakers, whose know-how is passed on in the traditional way, with a system of apprenticeship that enhances the value of the craft and ensures that the gestures are accurate, precise and verified.
  • 02

    System installation

The boat then moves on to its production slot, where various trades are involved. The first step is to carefully install the boat's insulation, in parallel with the various electrical wiring and interior plumbing systems.

This is also the stage at which the engine and any other systems you may have chosen, such as heating, watermaker or generator, are installed.
  • 03

    Installation of fittings and joinery

Our interior fittings are manufactured and pre-assembled by Griffon Marine, the Grand Large Yachting group's carpentry site.

Once the floors have been laid, our Cherbourg carpenters install each piece of furniture with precision, giving shape and life to the boat's interior. Then come our upholsterers, who carefully apply the upholstery, bringing warmth and finish to the Allures interior.
  • 04

    Bypass

Once all the fittings have been installed, decking is a key step. The one-piece foam sandwich deck is first pre-positioned, then glued in place before being held under pressure for 48 hours. Additional screwing is then carried out from inside the hull, with a screw every 10 cm all around. The rail then completes the joint, being itself more rigidly fastened to the hull through the deck. The result: perfect watertightness and optimum rigidity, emblematic of Allures Yachting expertise.
  • 05

    Deck covering (optional)

Rather than a plain aluminum deck with a simple non-slip surface, we recommend the addition of a special coating, which offers much more than just an aesthetic advantage. It improves thermal insulation, while providing a more pleasant contact underfoot.

Two options are available: Flexiteek, a synthetic composite covering imitating teak, or Marinedeck, an agglomerate of cork and resins. Both are highly resistant over time, maintenance-free and perfectly non-slip.

  • 06

    Fittings installation

Balustrades, winches, blockers, pulleys, cleats, windlasses... Each piece of deck hardware is carefully installed by a dedicated, specialized team.
  • 07

    Masting the boat

The last step before launching, the boat is taken out of its slot to receive its mast, sails, halyards, sheets, lazy-bag and protective and shading textiles.
  • 08

    Launch and test run

Your boat finally hits the water! A series of tests begins. Based on a precise checklist, a dedicated team will test everything on board: engine, thrusters, fittings, electronics...

Every sail is sent out, and the boat is tested under every point of sail. It can then be delivered to you.
