Voile & Moteur magazine has published a detailed test of the Allures 45.9, a significant evolution of the Cherbourg-based shipyard's iconic model.

The article points out thatAllures 45.9 a continuation of the first model launched in 2004, the Allures 44, while introducing some notable innovations. In this "Perf" version, the sailboat features an Axxon Composite carbon mast rigging combined with D4 membrane sails. This configuration makes the boat two tons lighter, improves its performance under sail, and offers greater comfort at sea and at anchor.

The test highlights the quality of the aluminum hull, the deck layout , and the bright interior design, all designed for long-distance travel. The spacious secure T-shaped cockpit receives special attention, as do the numerous storage spaces and access to technical areas, ensuring safety and practicality for blue water cruising.

In terms of performance, the magazine measures a speed of 7 knots upwind in 11 to 12 knots of true wind, confirming the gains made by this new configuration. Without transforming theAllures 45.9 into a racing yacht, the Performance version impresses with its balance, stiffness and ability to climb upwind efficiently.
