The Allures Horizon 47 Nominated for the 2027 European Yacht of the Year Award

This appointment comes at a significant moment for Allures Yachting. With the “Horizon 47,” the shipyard is opening a new chapter in its vision for the “ blue water cruising ”: preserving the fundamentals that have defined its sailboats since the beginning, while reimagining how a long-distance sailing vessel can keep its crew connected to the world around them.

A new perspective on the blue water cruising

TheHorizon 47 combines the core features of an Allures sailboat— aluminium hull, composite deck, centerboarder , and twin rudders —with a new approach to space, protection, and life on board.

Developed in collaboration with Berret-Racoupeau, the Horizon Frame Concept in particular enhances the continuity between the interior and exterior. The panoramic view from the saloon, the sheltered cockpit, the " lowered side-decks ," and the fluid layout all serve the same purpose: to make life at sea easier, whether underway or at anchor.

The third Allures sailboat nominated for European Yacht of the Year

‍

TheHorizon 47 follows in the footsteps of two Allures sailboats that had already been selected for this European award.

The Allures 39.9 was nominated in 2014, followed by theAllures 51.9 in 2022, in the Bluewater Cruiser category. TheHorizon 47 is thus the third Allures sailboat to be nominated for the European Yacht of the Year award. Since neither of the two previous models won the title, this new nomination offers the shipyard another opportunity to present its vision of the blue water cruising to an international jury of specialized maritime journalists, who will evaluate it based on their expertise and experience.

The selected sailboats will be tested by the jury in Mallorca in October, before the winners are announced at boot Düsseldorf in January 2027.

For theHorizon 47, this nomination is already a recognition of the design, engineering, and manufacturing work that has gone into the project.

What happens next will unfold in the environment for which it was designed: at sea, with a crew on board and the horizon ahead.
