Behind the Scenes at Allures Horizon 47 : A Day at the Cherbourg Shipyard

Last June, Allures Yachting organized an event in Cherbourg dedicated to the new Allures Horizon 47, featuring a tour of the shipyard, discussions with the architect and the teams Allures Yachting, and a sailing trip.

An opportunity to discover theHorizon 47 even while the first unit was still under construction, including its aluminium hull design choices tailored for the “ bluewater cruising ” and life on board.

The day began at the Allures Yachting shipyard in Cherbourg with an exclusive look at the hull of theHorizon 47 and the sailboat currently under construction.

Discussions with the architect and the construction teams provided a better understanding of the considerations that guided the design of this new model and the choices made for long-distance sailing.

The day continued at sea aboard a Allures 45.9, to experience firsthand the qualities of an aluminum sailboat at centerboarder —a design that is also at the heart of theHorizon 47.
